Brightwork / Metal Polishing:
This wool cutting pad is perfect for bringing aircraft brightwork back when it’s dull, hazy, swirled, or covered in light scratching. The wool fibers give you a strong, consistent cut to knock down defects and restore clarity, setting you up for a clean, reflective finish.

For the best results, follow up with a microfiber pad or a foam polishing pad on a DA polisher. That second step refines the surface after the heavy cut, removes any haze left behind, and helps the metal “pop” with that deep, mirror-like shine brightwork is supposed to have.

Paint / Extreme Oxidation & Faded Finishes:
On aircraft paint, this pad is your heavy hitter for extreme oxidation, chalky surfaces, and faded paint. It cuts through dead, oxidized paint and levels the surface during compounding so you can bring back color and gloss on neglected finishes.

After cutting, finish with a microfiber or foam pad on a DA to refine the paint and boost gloss. That final polishing step is what gives painted surfaces the new paint look clean reflections, more depth, and a smoother finish before you apply protection.
